We have phone bans in schools in Australia and it feels like a pointless uphill battle much of the time (as a teacher). I don’t know what the answer is but if young people can have them out of school, I think we need to look at managing it.
Bravo to you on learning how to ride! I, too, did not learn as a kid (always befuddled by those "it's like learning how to ride a bike..." comments. I learned how to ride in the last few years, and it was definitely a freeing feeling!
I am a girl who used to work in craft beer, which is a notoriously male-dominated industry, to the point that it’s even rare to have female buyers (because we can’t easily move the kegs in by ourselves into the walk in). So I understand why this girl beer exists but idk…it’s almost too obvious. Women who drink craft beer specifically are also pretty knowledgeable and passionate about it. I feel like you give that beer can to somebody who loves Russian River or Bell’s Two Hearted (like me!) and she would feel patronized. Craft beer can take itself too seriously as a category but it can also have funny, inspired branding…there’s a way to market to women that doesn’t feel like a pink razor.

Hahaha I’m going to be biking all over the city now
