GM everyone it’s a sunny Monday in NYC, let’s lock in and get to the bag. The money is already printed, you just have to go and get it.

AirMail has opened a physical store in the West Village. The ‘newstand’ serves as a physical representation of Graydon Carter’s AirMail publication, which he’s been operating alongside Alessandra Stanley since 2019. The store sells recent publications from 032c, Wonderland, Fantastic Man, and other style/culture magazines. Additionally, they also stock various ephemera from CBD infused elixirs, pins, and a slew of items AirMail has featured in articles. Carter says the store’s stock is “…based on things we’ve tried out and like”
I find this concept very interesting, as it allows for a media publication to build out a physical representation of their brand. This space was beautifully designed by Basil Walter, who collaborated with Carter on the famous Waverly Inn. One of the key differentiators between a good store and a bad store is ultimately curation. In an increasingly populated product space, consumers look to curators and tastemakers to recommend quality brands they’ll resonate with. There’s no better curation than the timeless taste level of Carter and AirMail’s editorial staff. I’m going to try and visit the store this week and report back.
There’s a creative director on the Trump trial jury. Opening statements in the trial begin today, and one of the members of the jury is a 30-year creative director who lives in Manhattan. Other professions represented on the jury include a lawyer, investment bankers, and an e-commerce guy. Sounds like they could start a sick CPG brand after this trial wraps up.
Supreme is releasing a book showcasing 30 years of their t-shirts. The iconic clothing brand will release the three-book volume this Thursday, which showcases photos of every tee the brand has made. Honestly, I would totally buy this. (No word on if this is published in partnership with Rizolli, which has published previous books on the brand)
I used to resell Supreme in high school and my uniform back then was typically a Supreme tee, Dickie’s, and a pair of Vans Old Skools. Here are some of my favorite Supreme tees of all time:
Microsoft’s AI CEO is channeling Steve Jobs. Mustafa Suleyman spoke about the company’s expansive AI efforts at TED in Vancouver. His outfit was incredibly reminiscent of Steve Jobs on-stage uniform: an Issey Miyake mockneck, Levi’s jeans, and New Balance’s. Elizabeth Holmes, the now jailed founder of Theranos, also channeled Jobs’ uniform sartorial taste, which isn’t what landed her in jail but didn’t help. Honestly, its this combo does make for a pretty sick norm-core fit. Let him cook.
