Coffee shops + retail is such a good idea and I'm not sure why more retailers don't do it. It was great for bookstores, as it gave them another source of revenue and increases foot traffic dramatically. Hopefully we see more of it! The new J.Crew on Bond has a Jack's Coffee inside
Eh I think it’s saturated. My original piece was on how literally every new store does this. While it’s convenient and can still be done well, it’s hardly original and I want to see more stores do innovative retail concepts that carry the same effects but push the concept further.
As someone that works in soho (for the corporate office of a retailer no less) I can attest that it is an absolute nightmare and to be avoided at all costs. Especially the Sephora which has become literal hell on earth filled with tweens.
Amusingly, he moved out of the city to my suburban hometown so now all our sessions are remote. But I miss watching all the old ladies in leopard print saunter by!

I don’t know! I’d like a dries because it’s still a reasonable price or acne. Haven’t started looking yet though
I spent an absurd amount of money on an Our Legacy polar trench last year and I can’t wait to wear it again
I’m excited to wear a beanie and shop for a coat, been leaning towards a belted long wool coat :)
From what brand?
Going to my therapist on the UES and following it up with an overpriced pastry and window shopping healed me weekly in my twenties
That’s a major major vibe. I wish I could have had a therapist up here.

I meet so many old ladies who walk more a day than I do up here LOL
I’m also moving from UES this month & will also miss it dearly. Love to see some well-deserved hype.
It’s a great place I hope to return to one day when I’m in my 40s and want to buy a multimillion dollar townhome.
But in the meantime, off to Williamsburg 🫡
Broadway and Spring is truly the single worst place to find yourself in lower Manhattan
Cool post. Btw the bagel looks so gooood... would you mind sharing the store? Thanks!
Oh cool, I didn’t know this brand. Yeah I haven’t worn a long coat in a few years so looking forward to it. Thank you!
