GM all hope you’re having a lovely morning. Have you guys been seeing these new images at Equinox?
These are part of Equinox’s new 2024 campaign, and after a bit of research I discovered they were done by one of my favorite creative agencies in the business: Chandelier Creative. Today I’d like to explore some of their past work, as they’ve had some behemoth clients over the last few years.
But first some headlines—
Jacquemus unveiled a new video with Charlotte from Sex and the City. The video features Charlotte unboxing a sweater, the invite for their upcoming show. Jacquemus does social marketing so well. They are not tied to a continual aesthetic, and explore campaigns that will drive engagement. Videos like this are inherently shareable, helping extend the reach of their posts beyond the main feed. So well done.
Pitchfork is being folded into GQ. The iconic music review website has been under Conde Nast’s ownership for quite some time, but this is truly the nail in the coffin for the brand, with multiple layoffs occurring. As we shift from a mono-culture where we all listened to roughly the same stuff, music criticism and review has stagnated. Its hard to get clicks on reviews for albums that are outside of our bubble.
Notion has unveiled a new calendar app. The new app promises to merge your work and personal calendars seamlessly, while integrating with your existing Notion account. As a die hard Notion fan (I use it for tasks, notes, habit tracking, etc) I am excited to try this out.
Sushi Park is the hottest sushi spot for celebs in LA. I love this article in The Face, detailing the low-key $400 omakase spot in LA where celebrity’s hangout now. While you probably haven’t seen the inside, you’re definitely familiar with the balcony, which has served as the backdrop for numerous paparazzi photos, Kendall Jenner Bottega Veneta campaigns, and Dua Lipa’s new boyfriend.
Okay let’s talk about Chandelier Creative—
Founded in 2005, Chandelier is a full service creative agency based in New York City. The agency specializes in crafting full scale creative campaigns with strategy, copywriting, design, photography, and video. If you are into fashion, wellness, or beauty, you’re most likely familiar with their work.
They’ve worked on campaigns for Khaite, Noah x Puma, Equinox, Flamingo Estate, and more. Here are some of my fav partnerships they’ve done—
Equinox
Chandelier’s new Equinox campaign is provocative and sexy. This esoteric series of images and video has brought new life to Equinox’s formerly dull Instagram feed.
They’ve tapped into what the Equinox brand is really about. Just look at this before and after Chandelier stepped in to assist. Also love the copy, “We don’t want fitness, we want life” YES!
Rhode
Hailey Bieber’s skincare brand dropped in 2022 with a simple grey design and clean website.
The brand’s use of color to showcase new product offerings has become a signature motif. The espresso-inspired work they did for their new lip products was a stand-out.
Noah x Puma
Chandlier is not afraid to play the role of provocateur, which they did in their campaign video for the Noah x Puma collaboration, which features an all nude tennis match with players and spectators baring it all. They took what could have been a very boring shoe collab announcement and made it something eye-catching.
Khaite
Chandelier’s work with Khaite has been nothing short of impressive. They’ve helped elevate one of the hottest brands in womenswear with moody, dark product shoots.
Chandelier is doing some of the best work in the business right now, and I’m stoked to see what is next on their roster.
Okay that is all from me today, have a great day!
